Dear Baker friends in Australia,
I'd like to know where i could apply for an artisan bakery job in Australia? I hear so many times that as a german baker it is sooo easy to find an job there...but however. I couldn't find anything yet.
just a short notice about myself, I'm a 37 year old german master baker. I come form the artisan background were i worked several years in Germany and Switzerland. The last 3,5 years i worked as Bakery Chef and Head Baker for 5 star Hotels in Asia.
My strong side is the artisan way of making sourdough breads and rolls, also all kind of european bread plus asian style soft breads as well. Also I got god skills with sweeted dough danish croissant.
I'd like to work in an artisan bakery, but also i am open for any other baker related Job offers, like Instructor or Hotel baker, or even as Pastry chef for smaller operations( as I worked the last years in the Hotel close with my Executive Pastry Chefs)
I'd be more than happy to send my CV if someone is interested in my knowledge.
Best Regards
Christian

Looking for a baker

Hi Christian,
I am looking for a new baker who can make artisan sourdough bread with long fermentation style. My bakery called "La Panetteria", is located in Jindalee (Brisbane western suburb), did you hear about it?
Until now, I had a baker from Paris and we made ciabattas, white and wholemeal sourdoughs, baguettes and olive breads... but he's going back to France in two weeks time and I really need to find a new baker.
If you are interested, please contact me anytime at this number:

Hi Christian. The easiest

Hi Christian.
The easiest way to find work is to land in Australia with a work visa and spend a shift or two at prospective bakeries (including the bakery above). I would recommend trying out several situations and picking the one that suits you and your employer best.
You actually won't have any trouble getting work here if you are skilled and pleasant to work with. We frequently receive requests from ABA member bakeries for bakers. Please send me a PM if you would like more information about some of these opportunities.
